I waited months for an item that I ordered. I eventually received an email stating they couldn't deliver it. I asked for a substantial discount to be used on a future order to make up for the inconvenience. The customer service representative only offered me 10%. Not even free shipping. They send me emails at least once a month offering 30,40, sometimes even 50% off. When I insisted they could do better than 10% she just blew me off with "Sorry, no." The long wait and then the customer service experience left me with a negative feelings toward Soft Surroundings.
I placed an order for two items on April 5th. One item came right away, the other back ordered and was to be shipped May 15th. I waited but no order or email explanation. Could not phone them because if Covid. Emailed customer service- my order will not be shipped until July 29 th. An almost 4 month wait is unacceptable. Canceled my order.

I ordered that kept appearing in their catalog all the time I waited. Eventually i received my dress I am so disappointed - I order a couple of items one was an embellished sweatshirt which looked beautiful in the catalogue but the fit was so strange. I ordered a large which should have been plenty big enough for me. The body was almost too large and the sleeves which were long were to tight. I paid $75.00 or $80.00 for this items which is certainly cheap it is still hanging in my closet. Very disappointing i get the catalogue all the time and the clothing looks beautiful, styles that I would love to have but I have not order because of my past experience. i call the company on this number which is????????????²⁸⁴³¹³¹i contacted them and finally i received my order amount back from this company for this sweatshirt which looked beautiful in the catalogue but the fit was so strange. I ordered a large which should have been plenty big enough for me.CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT BUT I am NOT a happy with sweatshirt and will NOT be shopping at this online clothing store ever again.sweatshirt

I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE I ordered. Lovely clothing if you ever receive it. I wanted a dress for a wedding, but the couple is back from their honeymoon and no dress or other tops I ordered have arrived. Don't know why they waste money sending out their catalogue if they do not have the merchandise. I will not order again.
When you place an order, it is not clear when you will receive... I'm waiting over two weeks for items that FedEx keeps saying will arrive, and then when it doesn't it changes status to 'pending'. Other companies send things very timely. I called in and spoke to 'Anna' who seemed quite disinterested in my concerns and told me 'it's your perogative to feel as you do'. My advice -- shop somewhere else.
I purchased 2 lipsticks in store (not close to home) I emailed customer service with my displeasure and received an automated reply someone would contact me. Never did, so called customer service,was told they can't do anything unless it is an order, and then hung up on me. I have been a good customer, but never more!
This has nice clothes but they have become Wayover priced and poor customer service
After visiting new store to see/touch items. Discovered their greatly reduced prices online. Very happy with every single item from novelty sweatshirt to dressy top w/flounce to simple ribbed summer top and leggings. Love that XL items are fully cut to avoid 1X and that most tops are 27-28" to cover bottom. Have received compliments when wearing. No need for returns so cannot comment. Now
My friends plan to start purchasing from Soft Surroundings, especially when $79-89 tops are on sale for $39-49! Just retired so now can buy the fun casual items that don't need to be suitable for office. Especially loved the tiered bottom straight leg pants & the lavender sweatshirt w/lace trim for less than $30.
I ordered two items in November. I received one, the other was back ordered and said to be shipping in January. The item arrived in March, well past the intended fall/winter season. I requested a refund and waived return fees. The rep obliged. When I received my refund, it was short by approximately $25. I called, thinking it was an error. Nope. The explanation: the charge for the item shipped in November was not the full price, even though it was the amount stated on the order. Who does business like this and retroactively changes a price? Isn't that illegal?
I have been an online customer of Soft Surroundings got about 20 years. It has always been my go to store. In the past I could rely on them for high quality, fashionable, well designed clothing and outstanding customer service.. Clothing arrived in excellent condition and in a timely manner. Clothes were packaged with care between tissue paper. However, all that has changed. The clothes are now way over priced for the design and quality. I have returned all my orders in the past year. My last dress arrived with creases and wrinkles. When I wrote a negative review, ( which was not published), a rep said I could return it free of charge, however, I WAS charged. I can buy better quality clothing in local discount stores. It is obvious that a new management team has taken over.
I love the items I have received from Soft Surrounds However they take orders on items they don't have then repeatedly send you delay notices, This has happened twice to me
What a disaster! Saw beautiful clothing come across my Insta-feed - foolishly clicked through to the website and DIDN'T do my research on this company before ordering. The clothing eventually arrived not as described or shown in photos - overpriced shipping (who even charges shipping anymore?) AND I needed to pay for my return. Stay away!

I have no idea what you're talking about. I have never had a bad experience with Soft Surroundings and never fail to get compliments on my clothes.

I'm no longer a purch aser of Soft Surrounding Clothing, however, on their website some items have positive and negative reviews. I said some items, not all. You are allowed to leave a review.
